Description
DescriptionThe Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Student Health Services (SHS) at SIU Carbondale is seeking applications for the Counseling Psychologist positions. This is a 12-month, full-time appointment.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
Examples of Duties
Provide professional and ethical counseling/therapy, assessment, and evaluation to students. Coordination of a programmatic area such as masters and doctoral level practicum, consultation, outreach, community intervention, QAUR, groups, EDOP, DBT, or other area as assigned by the Director. Provide consultation, outreach, and program development and evaluation to students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Provide individual and group clinical supervision and training to pre-doctoral interns or practicum students within Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Serve on University committees, task forces, boards, etc. as directed by the CAPS Director.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
By date of hire earned doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program. (ABD Acceptable)
By date of hire successful completion of APA or CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology.
Eligibility for registration as licensed psychologist in State of Illinois within 18 months of start date of employment.
